After taking a very long time for my foot to heal after a stress fracture. My foot doctor told me that I needed to wear tennis shoes at home for the additional support and no more slippers. I decided to buy these with velcro closings for the ease. The doctor was right. My foot does not bother me anymore and I love the additional balance that these shoes provide. With the velcro look, I doubt that I would wear these outside of the house, but they are very comfortable.
